Health care quality analysis Publications, briefings and blogs about health care quality and demand in the UK

We believe everyone in the UK should be able to access high-quality health care so they can live long and healthy lives.

By high-quality care, we mean it should be safe, effective, person-centred, timely, efficient and equitable.

The public expects care to be accessible when they need it, and that their quality of care should not be dependent on their health condition, their doctor or provider, where they live, their background, or their financial and other resources.

But there is a rising demand for NHS care, in part due to the growing population living with long-term conditions, and a growing older population.

Our aim is to provide insight to inform national policymakers how they can strategically improve quality – and the actions needed to support the NHS and patients to access the data that will help them understand quality of care
